“Plan” is the first plan that includes the country: the Free plan covers the United Kingdom (search and profile), Standard covers every country except Germany, and Pro covers all ten. A dash means the register does not publish that information on its public service.

Countries

Registers, identifiers and notes

United Kingdom

Companies House

Company number: 8 characters. England and Wales: 8 digits (00445790). Scotland: SC + 6 digits. Northern Ireland: NI + 6 digits. LLPs: OC + 6 digits. Short numbers are zero-padded for you. Examples: 00445790, SC123456, OC301980.

  • Shareholders: Shareholders as listed in the latest confirmation statement or annual return, plus persons with significant control.
  • Financial statements: Every filed set of annual accounts, newest first, with the document for each period.

France

Registre national des entreprises (INPI) and the Sirene directory (INSEE)

SIREN: 9-digit SIREN (652014051). A 14-digit SIRET is accepted and resolved to its company. Examples: 652014051, 542051180.

  • Financial statements: Filed turnover (chiffre d'affaires) and net result by year where the company publishes its accounts.
  • Filing history: Official legal announcements and register events.

Germany

Handelsregister (joint register portal of the German federal states)

Register reference: Register court, register type and number, exactly as company_search returns it (bayern-amtsgericht-muenchen:HRB:213821). Examples: bayern-amtsgericht-muenchen:HRB:213821, berlin-amtsgericht-berlin-charlottenburg:HRB:158855.

  • Shareholders: Taken from the shareholder list (Gesellschafterliste) filed with the register court.
  • Financial statements: Annual accounts filed with the register court, where the company filed them there. Most German companies publish their accounts in the Unternehmensregister instead, so the list is often empty.

Spain

Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil (BORME)

Registered name: Spain's free official source has no public company number, so the identifier is the exact registered name as company_search returns it (TELEFÓNICA, S.A.). Examples: TELEFÓNICA, S.A., INDITEX, S.A..

  • Company profile: BORME publishes registered acts, not a standing register entry, so there is no profile. Use company_filings for the company's registered acts.
  • Directors and officers: Appointments and resignations appear as registered acts in company_filings.

Ireland

Companies Registration Office (CRO)

Company number: Numeric company number (104547). Add /B for the business-name register (540274/B). Examples: 104547, 540274/B.

  • Directors and officers: The CRO's free service does not list officers; they appear only in filed documents.
  • Get a filed document: The CRO sells filed documents; they are not included.

Italy

Registro delle Imprese (Chambers of Commerce)

Registered name: The free official search returns registered company names only, so the identifier is the name.

  • Company profile: Profiles, officers, shareholders and accounts are sold by the Italian registry as official extracts; they are not included.

Norway

Brønnøysund Register Centre (Enhetsregisteret)

Organisation number: 9-digit organisasjonsnummer, no spaces (923609016). Examples: 923609016, 974760673.

  • Shareholders: From the annual shareholder register reported to the Norwegian Tax Administration, not updated in real time.

Estonia

e-Business Register (Centre of Registers and Information Systems)

Registry code: 8-digit registrikood (10060701). Examples: 10060701, 12417834.

  • Financial statements: Key figures from the annual reports filed with the register.
  • Get a filed document: The register sells copies of filed documents; they are not included.

Luxembourg

Luxembourg Business Registers (RCS)

RCS number: Letter and digits, spaces and dots removed (B82454). Examples: B82454, B102468.

  • Directors and officers: Officers, shareholders, filings and official extracts are sold by Luxembourg Business Registers; they are not included.

Poland

Krajowy Rejestr Sądowy (National Court Register)

KRS number: 10-digit KRS number (0000635012). Search also accepts a 10-digit NIP or a REGON. Examples: 0000635012, 0000064824.

  • Financial statements: Financial statements filed with the National Court Register.
